Residents of New York are eligible for federal, state, and - in some cases - city incentives for installing solar energy. Solar installers eligible for the NY-Sun program are familiar with the available incentives around the state and can help guide you through the process. In most cases, the solar installer files for NYSERDA incentives (state) on your behalf, while you must file for tax credits yourself. Always consult a qualified tax advisor or accountant.
